David Onen, multisensory artist

David comes from a long line of artists; 4 generations of painters, some of whom have received prestigious awards, such as the Grand Prix at the Paris exhibition or the first prize for fine arts, have helped to give him a taste for beauty.

Despite this family heritage, David's career was atypical. First attracted by the sommelier (he worked at the Gavroche in London and the Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence), he rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in French gastronomy (at the Chibois in Grasse, at the Carlton or at the Majestic in Cannes). But very soon, he will return to his first love, art and painting.

He likes to think outside the box, innovate, and look for new media to give free rein to his imagination.

The canvases are no longer enough for him, he turns to resin, iron, bronze….

His artistic universe is in his image: instinctive, sensual, sensitive and generous.

His painting is a symphony of colors, an explosion of light, a fireworks display of emotions. It is both drawing when working on felt or aerosol and sculpture when working in oil.

Seeing him paint is an enchantment: his gestures are lively, precise and assured. He lays down on the canvas a work already completed in his mind.

Like a musician who composes his music, each note of color enhances a score of light.

Like a great chef who arranges his dishes to make us hungry, David's painting touches all our senses to let us be carried away by pure emotion.
